melinda diana bates was born in 1327 to parents eleanor and hugo bates, a black woman born to a peasant family in the slums of durham in england. her childhood was not an easy one; her family did not have enough money to feed the entire family, and all ten children were often forced to share the portions for three people. because of this, she was constantly hungry, dirty, and longing for a better life. both of her parents were always working, as were all of her older siblings, and by the time melinda was 10 years old, she was considered old enough to start working for her keep. it started with menial house tasks (laundry, dishes, etc.), and by the time she was 12, she found herself employed with the local seamstress.at such a young age, her pay was better than that of her parents, and their family fortune seemed to be on the rise; until melinda turned 16, and her mother got pregnant again. eleanor died in childbirth due to lack of cleanliness, leaving her father in charge of the household. blaming his children for her death, hugo bates becomes abusive toward melinda and her siblings, often starving them and using their funds for liquor. when melinda turns 19, the black plague rapidly spreads throughout england, targeting durham. incapable of preparing for the pandemic due to their financial status, the bates family continues to live in filth.

during the pandemic, melinda lost three of her sisters and one of her brothers -- three at the hands of the pandemic, and one at the hand of her father. desperate to keep her family safe, melinda makes a deal with the demon astaroth in order to gain magical abilities.

unaware of the consequences of the deal she made (ten years for her soul and newfound powers), melinda used her abilities to protect her family from the plague, and from their father. now in charge of the family, she used her powers to continue generating wealth for the family, until they quickly became one of the most influential families in england, no longer at the risk of the black death.melinda then began to use her body as leverage against the demon, hoping to learn more about the extent of her powers, and the realm of magick. she continued to use her abilities to protect her family from suffering at anyone's hands, and later opened her own shop to extend her powers as a healer to those impacted by the plague.when things finally started to look up, melinda died -- her soul sent to hell for an eternity of endless torture.

during her time in hell, melinda donned the nickname ruby, given to her by astaroth -- a way to mock her for the status that she'd gained in england before her death.ruby's soul was tortured in hell for centuries, until she was able to continue studying with astaroth -- this time, as a demon. she was incapable of remembering anything from her human life, and hoped that astaroth would be able to help fill the gaps in her memory. it's in hell that their relationship becomes sexual again, and ruby unsuccessfully tries to learn more about who she had been before losing her humanity.not long after her apprenticeship with astaroth resumed, ruby was approached by azazel (the yellow-eyed demon), one of the highest ranked demons in hell. he offered her an escape -- gave her a task, with the promise of restoring her memories and humanity. all she had to do was prep the youngest winchester boy to become lucifer's true vessel.ruby swears to be lucifer's most loyal subject, a secret that she must hold throughout her time on earth.

when jake talley opens the gates of hell, ruby is amongst the first to escape, fully intent on fulfilling her promises to the true king of hell. ruby finds an empty vessel (a jane doe that flatlined at the at the exact moment of her resurrection), and she begins her quest to find the winchester boy. along the way, she tries to learn more about herself (and her life as a human), but it proves impossible without knowing her real name.

after meeting sam winchester for the first time, she makes false promises of helping him gain control of his abilities and saving his brother in hopes of gaining his trust; instead, she was following azazel's orders, steering him closer and closer towards damnation.upon getting to know sam more, she realized that there was a lot more to him than azazel had let on; he was a man struggling with his own humanity, afraid of the true meaning behind his powers (and his inability to control them). after attempting to help sam one final time in a fight against lilith, she gets sent to hell by dean.lilith rewards ruby for her accomplishments on earth with the one thing that she'd been searching for -- the truth. using her abilities, lilith restores ruby's memories from her time as a human, allowing her to relive her memories from earth. upon learning the truth about her past, she begins to care for sam -- truly care for him.sam was the spitting image of her first love -- a man that ruby had been forbidden to see because of their class differences. despite that, sam had the kindhearted nature of her youngest brother, someone that she'd always admired.and for the first time, ruby began to question the orders bestowed upon her by hell.

the memories of her humanity, mixed with her experiences with sam, begin to remind her of what it was like to be human. she begins to see the purpose that sam holds, the purpose that awaits his future -- not merely a vessel, but so much more. sam winchester had been born to be the true king of hell, to dethrone the archangel himself. upon her return to earth (with her newfound memories), she finds a temporary vessel to fill until sam brings her to her favorite vessel -- stowed in iowa by lilith, in lieu of her return.still on the path to follow azazel's plan, ruby finds herself caught in between the promise she made to a king she used to worship, and the man that she was beginning to love.

ruby decides to fight for sam instead of lucifer, and carefully manipulates sam over the coming months in hopes of preparing him to take his rightful place on the throne.but the sam that she returns to is darker than the one that she'd left behind, all too willing to find his place on the throne. after the epic battle fighting against a newly-released lucifer, sam wins the title of "king of hell," and ruby remains as his right-hand woman.then, in season 5, dean captures ruby and tortures her, before sending her back to hell -- all in preparation for killing sam on the throne of hell. she spends the rest of her eternity torturing souls in the pit, hoping to one day reunite with sam.

sam winchester was born to parents john and mary winchester on may 2nd 1983, the result of possessed procreation. at six months, sam was given demon blood by azazel (his true father), hoping that the demon blood would kickstart sam's demonic abilities. mary walked in on azazel standing over sam's crib, and died trying to protect him. after mary's death, john brought the kids on the road and adopted the hunting lifestyle.sam's early childhood was not an easy one, and far from normal; his father was hell-bent on finding the demon that killed mary, treating his boys as if they were soldiers rather than sons. sam was able to shoot a gun by the time he was six, a highly-trained fighter by the time he was ten. the winchesters never stayed in one town for more than three weeks, never visited the same town twice, but sam wanted more than a life of hunting – he wanted to be a normal kid, to have a normal life, to not be a freak.on sam's 12th birthday, he begins to exhibit supernatural abilities. they started off small – nothing more than blurry visions and strong sensations. as an attempt to remain normal, desperately trying to distance himself from the term "freak," sam attempted to suppress his powers.as sam continued on into his teenage years, his abilities only grew stronger (despite his attempts at hiding them), and his visions / other abilities became more painful to suppress. without using his abilities for prolonged periods of time, he became subject to intense body aches and piercing migraines. still, he tried to fake normalcy, to run from his family and his powers. sam applied to colleges around the country, where he inevitably gets to stanford on a full ride scholarship.

for the majority of sam's freshman year at college, he worried about what would happen if he couldn't control his powers – he remained introverted, avoided large social gatherings in favor of studying. one night, toward the end of his midterms, his roommate (brady) forced sam to go to a part – it's there that he met jessica moore. jess accepted him for all of his flaws, and being around her made the aches and migraines disappear (until eventually, they were gone forever). assuming he lost his powers, sam allowed himself to become more social, living the normal life he'd always dreamed of.about a year into their relationship, sam and jess move in together, into a small off-campus apartment. without much family to rely on, sam grew extremely close to jessica's family, and he would spend holidays at their home in wisconsin.it takes four years for his past to come rushing back, this time in the form of powerful visions – far more painful then they'd ever been before. sam is often left bedridden for days, sometimes weeks, and the visions increase in frequency. first, about their father and brother, about their lives on the road. then, about jess – about her pinned to the ceiling, burning in the same way his mother had.he chalks it up to nothing more than painful nightmares and unresolved trauma, ignores the issue and starts taking migraine medication. he gets an interview at stanford law school, in hopes of beginning a new life with his new family. he buys a ring for jess, with every intention of proposing after his interview.until dean returns, and everything changes...

john had gone missing on a hunt. sam knew that it was normal for his father, but he goes with dean anyways. part of him missed it all; being around dean, having a family that cared. it's weird – being back on the road with his brother, searching for a man that likely didn't want to be found. after their first hunt, sam decides to return to stanford for his interview, decides again to leave that life behind him.that is, until his apartment burns down with jessica pinned to the ceiling...after jess' death, sam decides to return to a life of hunting, to follow in his father's path and get revenge on whatever the hell had taken everything from him. he begins to work on his powers behind dean's back, strengthening them in hopes that he'd be able to use them for good. the body aches return after suppressing his powers for so long, and now the residual migraines linger after every vision and every use of his abilities.

sam and dean travel across the country looking for their father, killing everything evil in their path. along their travels, they find more people like sam (good and evil alike); people gifted with inexplicable abilities. his list of questions only grows longer and longer as time goes on, until he's kidnapped and thrown in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by others like him.it's there that he finds out the true source of his powers – of the demon blood coursing through his veins. sam learns that he's not like the other children azazel had visited, that he wasn't even human – azazel's own flesh and blood. sam had been placed with the other children in hopes that he would lead the demon army, that he would be the last man standing.it's then that sam decides to never use his powers again, believing they stem from evil incarnate. he refused to become the one thing he despised most –– a monster.then, he's killed at the hands of jake tally, a supposed ally...

in a moment of pure emotional distress, dean makes a deal with a demon – sam's life for his own. little does dean know, the person that he brings back isn't entirely his younger brother. in the time between his death and resurrection, sam's soul was sent to hell; in violently returning the soul to the body, his soul became tainted. the longer he remained on earth, the more twisted it got.ruby came along, with promises of bettering the world and helping sam gain control of his powers. she quickly becomes the devil on sam's shoulder, pushing him toward a "higher purpose." despite it all, sam tries to be the man that he was before his death – all for his brother.but then dean dies, and sam has nothing to anchor him to his humanity anymore. during the time between seasons 3 and 4, sam begins to desire the throne of hell, and by season 4, his soul is tainted entirely (just as sick and twisted as a demon's). toward the end of season 4, he starts pushing away those closest to him – including dean, his greatest weakness.with the help of ruby, sam embraces his abilities to the fullest, strengthens them to the point where he no longer relies on the demon blood catalyst he'd grown addicted to.

sam moves on to become one of the most powerful beings in the universe, and uses his abilities to track down (and kill) all of the hunters and demons that had previously targeted him and his brother – they were an example of what would happen if anyone crossed him again.

after releasing lucifer from the gates of hell by killing lilith, sam never says yes to becoming the vessel. instead, he decides to battle with the archangel in an attempt to gain his rightful spot as the king of hell. in the final battle against the prince of darkness, sam kills lucifer using an angel blade, and absorbs his grace to become the new king of hell.now the leader of a demon army, sam decides to wreak havoc on earth for his own entertainment, and tries to storm the gates of heaven in search for jessica's soul.his victory is short-lived, as dean kills sam on his new throne, less than a year after he'd won it.

pamela lillian isley was born to parents petra and liam isley in seattle, washington. when pamela was seven years old, she watched her abusive father murder her mother and bury the dead body in the rose bushes; their father was arrested for murder, and sentenced to life in prison after she reported him to the police. pamela was then placed in the care of her paternal aunt (aine isley in sequim, washington), and her family's trillion dollar fortune was placed in a trust until she turned fifteen. pamela finds interest in plants at a young age, using them to forget the abuse that she received living with her aunt. at age fifteen, upon receiving her trust, pamela moved back to seattle and filed for emancipation.it's during her years at harvard university that she decides to be a botanical biochemist, hoping to study the very thing that brough her joy over the years. she decides to work for her master's and doctorate in a lab run by dr. jason woodrue, who became her lover after three years.

in the final years of her doctoral program, after submitting her thesis for review, jason began to show his true colors. their relationship quickly became emotionally abusive / manipulative, and he began to restrict her activities otuside of the lab. after her thesis and dissertation were approved, jason kidnapped pamela and held her for weeks in the basement of his lab. after a while, she became his lab rat -- she was repeatedly exposed to different toxins, and she was kept on the brink of death for days on end.pamela died repeatedly in that basement, body being ripped apart from the inside. that is, until she learns how to cheat death himself. chlorophyll fills their veins, toxin coats their every pore; they become a new kind of monster, one that cannot be killed so easily, one that cannot be caged like an animal that needed to be tamed.THEY BECOME POISON IVY, learn to control plants with their mind until they can escape the basement in search of vengeance.

ㅤㅤearly life,

james buchanan barnes was born on march 10th in 1917 to parents winnifred and george barnes. his younger sister, rebeccam died alongside their mother when he was just 8 years old, leaving his father distraught. it was not long after their deaths that he befriended steve rogers, who he then grew to protect; due to steve's own familial misfortunes, bucky's father began to take steve in as if he were his own. the two remain close throughout their lives, until they get separated during the war.due to his father's influence, bucky grew up to be an extremely athletic overachiever, who excelled in the classroom and played on the school football team. in 1935, at age 18, bucky's dad died in a basic training accident at camp lehigh, where his father was stationed at the time. his father's death in 1941 was what drove bucky to enlist in the war, all in hopes taht his dad would be proud of him.bucky became a sergeant and was assigned to the 107th infantry, where he was then shipped out to camp mccoy in wisconsin to complete basic and sniper training; he didn't return to nyc until four months later.two years after his enlistment, bucky received orders that he would be shipped out to england as the war worsened; in his last day before leaving, he went with steve to the stark expo to celebrate their friendship over the years.

ㅤㅤhis capture,

three months into their station in the war, he and his infantry were ambushed by the wehrmacht troops in azzano, italy. another unknown german unit was dispatched to kill the wehrmacht troops, and subsequently captured all american soldiers as prisoners. this new army (hydra) used bucky's infantry as extra hands at their weapons facility in austria, where they were forced to aid in hydra's efforts against the war. it was there that bucky worked on the valkyrie for the red skull, along with many other handheld weapons.in october of 1943, bucky became victim to subsequent beatings by colonel lohmer in hydra, leaving him unable to work. he then became a test subject for dr. zola's attempts to recreate the supersoldier serum. less than a month later, bucky was saved by steve; upon his return to allied territory, bucky and his fellow prisoners of war were given two months leave in london to recover.in january of 1944, bucky joined steve's new team, "the howling commandos",. where he worked to destroy hydra facilities as an attempt to prevent johann schmidt and dr. zola from completing their work. he often acted as a sniper, protecting the team as they went into battle; his last mission as a howling commando took place in january of 1945, almost a year after he joined the crew. in the midst of battle, bucky fell off the train and plummeted into the danube river.

ㅤㅤhis downfall,

his arm was severed in the fall by a discarded piece of the train, and he was forzen in the river -- presumed dead by all. while hydra searched for the body of steve rogers, they stumbled across the preserved body of bucky in the dunabe river. he was then examined for traces of the super-soldier serum, and his body was placed in cryostasis until 1954, when he was given a bionic arm. he continued to be a test subject for hydra until they were able to successfully suppress his memories using electroconvulsive therapy.bucky was then given mental implants that were regularly updated (along with his bionic arm) as technology advanced; it's then that bucky barnes died, and the winter soldier was born. to prevent him from aging, hydra would keep him in cryostasis until he was needed again, and they would continuously erase his memories to prevent him from developing emotional attachments.

during the late 1980s, bucky was brought to the red room in russia in order to help train members of the black widow and wolf spider ops programs. it's there that he met natasha romanova, who he developed a brief relationship with. when bucky was deemed 'unstable and too emotional' by hydra. he was then wind-wiped and placed back in cryostasis until he was needed again.after the battle in washington, d.c. in 2014, bucky saw broken fragments of his past, as memories began to resurface. upon the downfall of hydra, he went into hiding, where he attempted to pursue his past in hopes of making sense of his distorted thoughts, of learning more about his true identity -- all to no avail. due to repeated electroconvulsive therapy, his memory is extremely patchy, and it comes and goes frequently; akin to dementia, he only remembers things in bits and pieces, and often has trouble remembering anything before the downfall of hydra (without the help of the trigger words).

ㅤㅤhis redemption,

after the events of civil war, bucky gets sent to wakanda by steve, all in hopes of t'challa helping bucky gain autonomy again. instead of overturning the damage done by hydra, shuri was only able to remove some of the implants in bucky's mind, allowing him to regain most of his pre-war memories. knowing that the winter soldier can still be triggered by the words, he burns the red book to prevent people from using it against him in the future, and remains in wakanda to hide from authorities.

after the events of endgame, and after the death of steve rogers mid-battle, bucky turns himself in, hoping that he will be punished for the crimes of his past. instead, he is pardoned and placed in court-mandated therapy. then, he gets placed on an indefinite leave of absence due to mental disability that "interferes with assignment or performance of duty."bucky then isolates himself from everyone in his life as he tries to process his trauma and grief; that is, until he finds out there is a new captain america.

bella was born in seattle, washington to teen parents renee dwyer and charlie swan. when bella was 3 months old, their parents divorced, leaving renee with custody. bella and renee then move to downey, california, to live with renee's boyfriend at the time (steve). when bella turned 6, renee got a job in phoenix, and inevitably moved in with renee's new boyfriend, phil. renee and bella remained close until bella turned eleven, when their relationship started to deteriorate. renee had always wanted to travel, and blamed bella for their inability to do so, repeatedly calling bella a burden to bear. when phil got signed with a minor-league baseball team in florida (on bella's 18th birthday), they decided to move out of the house. with nowhere to go, they ended up staying in a friends trailer. it's there that they befriended the budding rockstar, bridget brooks.

ㅤㅤnew beginnings,

bridget's band, "3-way stop" grows famous after signing a deal with mercury records, and bella was invited to tour with the band; for the first few shows, they were nothing more than a groupie and a roadie, but after the rhythm guitarist quit the band, bella filled the role. not long after, they became a permanent member of the band - a backup singer and guitarist. they worked closely with bridget on other music projects outside of the band, and bella quickly succumbed to the reckless rockstar lifestyle alongside bridget. after repeated cocaine usage, bella began to have weird dreams, and hallucinations. they would hear voices in their head -- specifically their mother's.the routine continued across the u.s. as the tour continued, until bella passed out during a show while opening for cheap trick. after being rushed to the hospital, it was revealed that bella was pregnant at 19 (father unknown). per charlie's request, they returned home to seattle and carried the baby to term, but left the child (who charlie named amelia) with charlie to return to the band. charlie would later move back to forks, washington, to raise bella's child with the support of his younger brother.

after their return to the band, bella began to see a roadie named kristine. in 1980, kristine revealed herself as a vampire, and offered bella eternal life. bella then left 3-way stop in favor of traveling the world with kristine, and learning how to control their new abilities.in italy, in 1992, the volturi caught kristine and killed her for a centuries-old crime. aro showed interest in bella and their abilitites, but his offer was declined -- bella instead returned to forks to see their daughter again.

charlie happily accepted bella's return, where they would stay with him a recently-turned 13-year-old amelia. their secret about vampirism would be shared with their family, and bella began to introduce themselves as amelia's older cousin from europe.it's in forks that they meet jacob black -- a local from the quilete tribe. over time, their friendship developed, and they began to care for him more. when jacob transformed into a werewolf for the first time at age 20, bella couldn't hide the truth from him anymore. knowing that they could never be together, they wrote jacob a letter about their history before leaving forks again (without waiting for his response).in 2003, upon the return of the olympic coven to forks, jacob called bella, asking for help defending the town from more bloodsuckers. bella returns to forks quickly, hoping to help jacob (and protect their daughter from the unknown coven). after returning to forks, everything would change.

dean winchester was born on january 24th, 1979 to parents mary and john winchester. on november 2nd in 1983, the winchester house burned to the ground – mary trapped inside. upon mary's death, john takes the boys with him onto the road, pursuing the demon that killed his wife. dean's early childhood was not an easy one, and was far from normal; his father was hell-bent on finding the thing that killed mary, treating his boys like soldiers rather than sons.without any place to truly call home, sam and dean grow used to living a life on the road – from sleeping in shitty motel rooms to the backseat of their dad's chevy impala. they never stayed in one town for more than three weeks, and never visited the same town twice. dean was deemed his brother's protector &&* watchman; he was unable to live his own life, always worrying about his little brother.that is, until his brother leaves for college, and dean is left without a purpose. it's during this time that dean develops an alcohol &&* drug dependency to swallow his pain.

after dean gets drunk and ruins a hunt two months after sam leaves, john disappears too – without his favorite son around, john seemingly had no interest in sticking around. john checks in on dean occasionally, giving his son a new monster to track before disappearing again (a new case to solve, a new order to follow). there was only one rule that he was always meant to obey – don't visit sam.of course, he broke that rule every time he was in the california area, every time he was able to drive through campus without sam noticing. even so, things were never the same. dean desperately craves a return to normalcy (as normal as their lives could ever be), longs for the day that their family can reconnect.

so he goes to stanford, ignores his father's wishes in pursuit of his brother. then, sam's girlfriend dies (in the same way that their mom did), and things go back to the way they used to be; sam &&* dean against the world, tracking down their father together, finally acting like a family again. it's during this time that he tries to tackle his addiction – for sam's sake.

but everything changes whend ean almost dies in a car crash, when john makes a deal with the yellow-eyed demon for dean's resurrection; the cold and john's soul for dean's life. dean struggles to live with the fact that his father died because of him, that john was able to use his own death to remind dean to watch out for sam.then, things only get worse when sam is kidnapped and killed. out of desperation, dean makes a deal with a demon, parallel to his father's own: his soul for his brother's. given only one year left to live, dean spends his last months on earth doing everything he can to fulfill the family legacy; saving people, hunting things.upon dean's death, he spends four months (in earth-time) torturing souls in hell, only to be revived by the angel castiel. upon his return to earth, he learns that his brother had begun to spiral down a dark path.it's his duty to fulfill his father's dying wishes, and in seasons 5, after sam claims his throne to hell, dean kills sam before killing himself.

nora &&* hope mikaelson were orphaned and placed in an abusive home to hide from the people that killed their parents. after burning down the home and killing their adopted family, brenner found the girls and donned them as "009" and "009.5" before adding them as test subjects in the lab.at 14 years old, they escaped the lab in search of their real family, finding rebekah in new orleans. nora then returns to hawkins alone, searching for 011.

nora &&* hope mikaelson were born as tribrids (vampire, witch, and werewolf) to parents hayley marshall &&* klaus mikaelson on may 2nd 1965. both parents exuded natural-born magical abilities; upon finding 001 and learning about the mikaelson family, dr. brenner began to enact human experimentation in hopes of special abilities forming in human subjects. eventually, klaus and hayley were hunted down by their communities for their inhuman nature, killed by their neighbors in mystic falls when nora &&* hope were just 2 years old. in an attempt to save the last children of the mikaelson bloodline, rebekah relocated the twins to prevent them from experiencing the same fate as their parents.it's then that nora &&* hope were adopted by jason and amy harris, renamed jamie and marcy harris. in order to ensure that the twins remained protected, rebekah vowed to remain out of contact until the kids are older. after the girls turned 4, their tribrid powers began to present themselves, and jason and amy began to abuse the girls in hopes of forcing their powers to disappear. when the girls turned 6, they used their powers to burn down the harris home to escape. jason and amy died inside the home, along with their two children, mark and conway.

ㅤㅤdiscovery,

it's then that the twins are discovered by the hawkins national labratory, where they were mistaken as the result of brenner's experimentations and deemed as pyrokinetics. jamie received the number "009" and her sister deemed "009.5" due to their similar abilities. the twins remained virtually inseparable until they turned 10, remaining together during brenner's experimental treatments.

once brenner learned that the twins were more than just pyrokinetics, he began to use them as soldiers against russia and other warring coutnries. brenner trained them to use deadly force in combat, and the twins became weapons, trained to kill enemies of the state.escape seemed impossible for the girls, but then 008 escapes, and the twins' perspective on the world drastically changes. at the age of 14, they finally broke free of the facility.

now able to walk free around the world, jamie and marcy do everything possible to learn about their pasts. it's in paris that they meet rebekah and learn the truth about their heritage and royalty status in new orleans. jamie and marcy changed their names back to nora and hope mikaelson, and they begin to gain control of their abilities (with the help of their aunt). the twins move back to new orleans, and the twins are homeschooled by their aunt to better fit into society.finally able to understand her powers, nora decides to return to hawkins at 18 (set in season 2 of the show), desperate to learn more about the facility and the children inside. during this time, hope remains with rebekah, always using their telepathic connection to remain in contact with nora.upon learning that 011 had also escaped the lab, nora remains in hawkins and attends hawkins high as a senior, hoping to track down the young girl and protect her from brenner.

born to a prom-queen cheerleader and a football quarterback, alice had been given high expectations from an early age. hawkins, and its residents, remained unforgivingly relentless as they went through puberty, desperately trying to live up to the standards set by their parents: the popular girl, the cheer squad captain, the track star -- so desperate to fit in that they lost sight of everything else. it wasn't until barbara's death that they realized there was more to life than cheer practices and team exercises.when the cheer squad uses barb's death as a way to fundraise for their latest competition in indianapolis, alice boycotts the team and their exploitive practices, which tgets them kicked off the team and placed in detention for the rest of the year.they felt free for the first time in their life.

it's in detention that they meet eddie munson, who would quickly become one of their best friends. he encouraged them that there was more to life than what their parents wanted, that there was no reason to hide who they really were. it was those hours in detention that alice learned more about d&d, of the world that would soon become their escape from reality.

they begin to go by "axl" around school, a moniker that would represent their new life. they begin to hang around the hellfire club more, joining their latest campaign as a level 16 tiefling druid named "kallith." they cut off all ties with those from their past, include their ex-best friend chrissy (and her douche of a boyfriend). they began to don the word "freak" like a badge of honor.they fall in with who their parents consider the "wrong crowd," and forms a band of their own -- an all-femme punk band called "queen green," where they are the frontman and bassist.

things start to look up for axl and their new group of outcasts -- that is, until chrissy cunningham (the same girl axl had shared slumber parties and playdates with for years) dies by some unknown cause, and eddie becomes suspect no. 1 by the useless cops in hawkins.they find themselves delving into a realm all too familiar, where fantasy and reality blend, all in hopes of saving the town they grew up in.
